“A promise to save life “was the only thought in the mind of Dr Manoj Chopda while establishing MAGNUM HEART INSTITUTE. To make world class medical facilities available at the most affordable costs is one strong drive that always led Dr Manoj Chopda to take effective steps to fulfill his object. He has a strong belief in serving mankind and is firmly continuing this mission since last 16 years.
After getting superspeciality degree “DM Cardiology” in April 1994 (1st student of North Maharashtra to accomplish this milestone) there were lot of opportunities abroad but to serve our people, he decided to start his career in Nasik. At that time there were only 1-2 ICCU centers. So he started Chopda Medicare & Research Centre (CMARC) – 10 bedded well equipped ICCU with latest gadgets diagnostic centre. Soon it became referral centre for North Maharashtra to all cardiac & critical care patients.
He pioneered the work of interventional cardiology. In his initiation 1st Cath lab at Rajebahadur Hospital in 1999 & then over next decade contributed in developing cardiac centers at various institutes like Saibaba Hospital, Shirdi, Govt.’s Superspeciality Hospital, Nasik, Wockhardt Hospital, Nasik. But he always dream of setting hospital with world class technology, international standards & Indian hospitality with personal touch & the outcome was Magnum Heart Institute. At all these various centers in total he has completed more than 22000 interventional procedures which includes more than 15000 Angiographies, 4000 Angioplasties, 1000 Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasties.
Over last 5 years he has developed complete new speciality “Pediatric interventional cardiology”- Device closures & Balloon valvuloplasties.
In school health programmes more than 10lakh children were screened for heart problem. 6000 patients Echocardiography were performed by reaching remote places in Dhule, Nandurbar, Nasik, Jalgaon & Nandurbar districts. Out of these 1500 patients underwent open heart surgeries, pin hole surgeries, device closures of ASD/VSD & PDA at free of cost with the help of Nashik Hriday Mitra Charitable trust, NRHM & Jeevandayee Yojana at Shirdi & Regional Referral Hospital, Nashik.
CMARC has continuously arranged Public Lectures to educate & aware people. The centre has been conducting various free Cardiac camps & public lectures with the help of Nasik Hriday Mitra Charitable trust at Dhule, Nandurbar, Shahada, Dondaicha, Navapur, Satana, Chopda, Amalner, Peth, Surgana, Vani, Dindori, Sangamner, Kopargaon & other tribal and rural places of North Maharashtra.
Dr Manoj Chopda always feels that the overwhelming trust shown on us by our valued patients and well wishers made it possible to reach at this level. He is sure that their ever lasting guidance & Support will always be available to us to reach the next milestone.
He is always known for his aggression in treating Cardiac patients to save lives & known for his helping hand for performing complex angioplasties, device closures & redo BMV/Angioplasties & helps his cardiologist friends in such situations.
We have launched a programme “Heart Attack-First Three Hours Crucial”. It is always necessary to reach the patient & start treatment without loosing time. For this we have started fully equipped ICCU on wheels Ambulance service at FREE OF COST.
Magnum Heart Institute has been included in Government's “Jeevandayee Yojna” for needy & economically poor patients. Also we have been empanelled for various Govt. organizations like ESIC, HAL, ISP, Maharashtra Police, Private organizations & all leading Mediclaim Companies.
Awareness & preventive medicine is the need of the hour, be it rural or urban. Awareness has to penetrate in every region!
Not for the self, not for the fulfillment of any worldly material desire or gain, but solely for the good of suffering humanity.
