Dr. Chopda has been a pioneer in performing over 870 device closures since the early 2000s. Notable accomplishments include the first PDA closure in 2002, ASD closure in 2003, VSD closure in 2005, and Balloon Mitral Valvotomy (BMV) in Juvenile MS. With a focus on innovation, he has performed more than 2000 procedures including Balloon Atrial Valvotomy (BAV) and Balloon Pulmonary Valvotomy (BPV).
International Recognition and Best-Case Awards:
Dr. Chopda's contributions extend globally, with presentations at prestigious conferences such as TCT South Korea, CSI Frankfurt, Pedicon Thailand, and PCR Singapore. One of his cases was awarded the best-case presentation in pediatric cardiology at TCT South Korea, highlighting his commitment to advancing the field.
Community Impact through School Health Check-Ups:
Since 2006, Dr. Chopda has been actively involved in School Health Check-Ups, covering all of Maharashtra. Over 1 lakh students per year undergo examinations in various locations, leading to the identification of approximately 5000 students with cardiac problems. This initiative has resulted in more than 2500 successful device closures and open-heart surgeries for these children.
National Record in Pinhole Surgeries:
In 2008, Dr. Chopda set a national record by performing 14 pinhole surgeries in children weighing 4 kg and above within a span of 12 hours at Shirdi Sai Baba Hospital.
Collaborative Workshops and Recent Achievements:
Dr. Chopda has actively contributed to pediatric cardiology workshops at Magnum Heart Institute and Saibaba Hospital Shirdi. In December 2021, he, along with Dr. Niraj Awasthi, achieved 5 ASD, 3 PDA, and 9 VSD device closures. In February 2020, Dr. Chopda and Dr. Anand Balsubramanyam performed 3 ASD, 4 PDA, 10 VSD device closures, and 3 surgical closures, showcasing their ongoing dedication.

Throughout the years, Dr. Chopda's collaboration with Dr. Lien Hieu has resulted in numerous successful device closures and surgical interventions. Their collaborative efforts have left a lasting impact, with significant achievements in each consecutive year, spanning from 2012 to the present.
